'Mother' is a science fiction story about a young man who is the sole survivor of a mission to colonize a new planet or 'Home World.' His only companion is an AI computer that calls itself 'Mother.' Mother's job is to help the colonists adjust the life of the new planet by bioengineering and selective breeding so that the planet will be more suitable for humans to live on. Ion, the young man has many questions about the possibilities of other survivors on the planet. The answers he finds are not what he expects.
